"B" Type 68% Fluorine
“B” Type fluoroelastomer is polymer that is composed of hexafluoropropylene (HFP), vinylidene fluoride (VF₂) and tetrafluoroethylene (TFP) with 68.5% fluorine content.
This terpolymer with an increased fluorine (68%) content is widely used throughout the Chemical Processing & Power Generation Industries, “B” types are specified for gaskets sealing strong mineral acids such as Sulfuric Acids and other aggressive chemicals that are processed or hauled by rail, and bulk tankers. “B” Types offer improved chemical resistance as well as an increase in operating temperature range. -20F to +450F
The Stigall "B" type of is compounded with carbon black to offer excellent chemical and thermal resistance.
