"A" Type 66% Fluroine
“A” Type fluoroelastomer dipolymer that is composed of hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and vinylidene fluoride (VF₂).
This dipolymer of 66% fluorine is the most widely used polymer in industry today, and it is the most cost effective polymer in relationship to performance. This elastomer was designed in the late 1950’s for the space program and today is widely used as a general purpose FKM offering excellent fluid resistance to automotive fuels & lubricants, as well as elevated service temperatures to 400F.
